So if you guys remember Thomas the ex Earth 2 community manager who left along with Nathaniel to start a project called “Disruption”, now I’ve not been following that project, other than knowing Nathaniel is no longer part of it. But I have noticed Thomas dropping $6000 into Earth 2.

So if you guys remember Thomas the ex Earth 2 community manager who left along with Nathaniel to start a project called “Disruption”, now I’ve not been following that project, other than knowing Nathaniel is no longer part of it. But I have noticed Thomas dropping $6000 into Earth 2.
Thomas seems to have bought a few private islands close together, forming a huge block. Some of which were then sold onto other Earth 2 discord mods Eugene and Glasgow MG.
They’ve also set up a discord and named the project S.Y.O.H. However there’s not a lot of information on it. I’ve even asked a couple of times what the project is and I didn’t get an awful lot back.
The information sections of the discord are all blank too with just a “coming soon” added. It does appear they’re keeping their cards close to their chest for now.
The only thing I did manage to find were faction allocations of Fire, Wind, Ground and Water.
So what does this mean for Earth 2? Well, it doesn’t necessarily mean Thomas has insider information. But it does show that he at least has some faith in the project. The information he had whilst working with the E2 team and the people he worked with obviously gave him at least some confidence in the future of the platforms as $6,000 is certainly no pocket change.
Unfortunately the islands are completely full. There were a few small spots left on the edges, however they were quickly bought up by players who noticed the project.

So what do you guys think of this? An Ex team member putting money into Earth 2 can only be a good sign, right? However, as always, do your own research. Just because someone else is confident with their spend, it doesn’t mean you necessarily should be too. Just think of it like a normal game and spend what you’re ok not getting back if things don’t eventually pan out.
